Sander Martin Levin has served 18 terms in U.S. House of Representatives (January 3, 1983–January 3, 2019) representing the 17th district (1983–1993), 12th district (1993–2013), and 9th district (2013–2019) of the state of Michigan. His brother Carl Levin served in the United States Senate (1979–2015). His son Andy Levin succeeds him.
