Lisa Montell

Born in Warsaw, Poland, Lisa Montell and her family fled to New York before World War II. Living in Peru in her teen years, in 1953 she was offered a part in the film Daughter of the Sun God, which was released in 1962. After the death of her father, the family returned to Hollywood where she made her American debut in the 1955 film Escape to Burma. She retired from acting in the early 1960s, and as Lisa Janti, she authored the spiritual book Bahai: The New Vision.

Lisa Montell died of heart problems at the age of 89.
