Alexander Pennecke (born Alexander Garrett Pennecke) was born in Bethesda, Maryland and raised in Virginia Beach and Chesapeake, Virginia. While attending Grassfield High School, Pennecke attained National rankings as a sprinter; he went on to run at the college level for the Division-1 track & field team at George Mason University. An injury forced him to leave the sport; he discovered acting through a required arts credit and transitioned into the industry.
