Natalie Rich (they/them) is an actor, comedian, improviser, and writer based in Brooklyn, New York. They work in theatre, film, television, improv, commercials and voice over, creating original work from late-night cultural satire to frenzied episodic mischief to Bunraku inspired puppetry and mime. Natalie has trained at the iO in Chicago and UCB in New York. As an actor, Natalie is known for both their physical work and naturally dry wit. They have worked with Audible, Hulu, Improv Olympic, NBC, NPR, Oxygen, Time Out, TodayTix, Upright Citizens Brigade, and WNYC.
Natalie was awarded Best Comedic Actress at the Independent Television Festival for their role in The Weekend Detectives, a web series Natalie co-wrote with creative partner Max Reinhardsen. The project, dubbed a "stand out series" by Decider, was an Official Selection at the festival. Natalie's comedy pilot Ride or Die was a selection at the same festival in 2021. Max and Nat can also be found in stand-up comedy lineups, 100 episodes of their public access talk show Max & Natalie LIVE! and their podcast Imposter Syndrome.
Nat has written numerous short plays for Rule of 7x7 (a New York Times favorite for virtual pandemic entertainment), 24 Hour Plays and Ugly Rhino. Natalie has co-created and produced original works such as the vaudevillian romp The Boehner Sisters, two-hander sketch show Gimme an F! and several theatrical movie parodies as a company member of Recent Cutbacks, including KEVIN!!!!! (Innovative Theatre Award Nominee), Next Day Thrones, There Is No Spoon, and Atreyu.Recent Cutbacks took Hold Onto Your Butts to Edinburgh Fringe in 2024.
