Born in Montreal, Quebec. Albert S. Ruddy was raised in New York City and Miami Beach, Florida. He achieved great success over five decades of writing, creating and producing films and TV series. Early credits include writing an episode for The Lloyd Bridges Show in 1963, and in 1965 the creation of Hogan's Heroes. He was awarded two Best Picture Oscars, first in 1973 for The Godfather, and in 2005 for Million Dollar Baby.
Albert S. Ruddy died after a brief illness at the age of 94
