Born in Los Angeles, California, Nick Benedict made his film debut in 1955 alongside his father Richard Benedict in Wiretapper. He served in the Navy before turning to a career in the entertainment industry, where he landed minor roles in the late 1960s in a variety of series such as Mission: Impossible, Hawaii Five-O, and Ironside. In 1973 he became Phil Brent in All My Children, and it was 1993 that he landed the role of Curtis Reed in the daytime series Days of Our Lives.
