Born in Rødovre, Denmark, Brigitte Nielsen left school at the age of sixteen to pursue a career in modeling, standing at 6'1" made her a striking representative for international designers. She made her acting debut as the title character in the 1985 film Red Sonja, and that same year landed the role of Ludmilla in the 1985 film Rocky IV.
