Gary Coleman (born Gary Wayne Coleman) was an American actor, comedian, and writer. One of the highest-paid child actors in the late 1970s and 1980s, he is known for his work in television and film and is considered to be one of the most influential child actors in the acting industry.
Coleman died at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, Utah, on May 28, 2010, aged 42. He had been admitted two days earlier after falling down the stairs at his home in Santaquin and striking his head, resulting in an epidural hematoma.
