Tom Godwin is a British actor and movement specialist. He was born on 19 December 1975 in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England.
After completing A-Levels in 1994, he left London and furthered his studies at École de Théâtre et Mouvement in Paris, France. He also worked extensively in Spain and Portugal, along with a stint in Tokyo, Japan - all in the capacity of acting, movement directing and theatre making.
His television credits include roles in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Waking the Dead, Simon Schama's Power of Art, Voyages of Discovery, Holby City, Psychoville, Family Tree, Doctors, My Mad Fat Diary, The Hollow Crown, Taboo, Quacks, Joe All Alone, Urban Myths, A Discovery of Witches, The Irregulars, Doc Martin, and The English, along with the films About Time, Alice Through the Looking Glass, and Napoleon.
On stage, he appeared in several productions including Signals of Distress, Somebody to Love, Arsenic and Old Lace, Skylight, Elizabeth Rex, Secret Heart, Volpone, Earthquake in London, Crash of the Elysium, The Taming of the Shrew, Macbeth, The Woman in Black, and City of Glass.
He plays guitar in the covers band Painter's Radio, and lives in London with his wife and two children.
