Huw Edwards is a Welsh broadcaster and journalist who worked for the BBC for more than four decades. He was best known as a news presenter on BBC News at Ten and became one of the corporation's most recognisable broadcasters, presenting coverage of major national events including general elections, royal occasions, and state ceremonies.
In 2024, Edwards pleaded guilty to charges relating to making indecent images of children after thousands of illegal images were found on his devices. The case led to the end of his broadcasting career and permanently changed his public reputation, with his name now primarily associated with the criminal offences and subsequent court proceedings.
