Tandy arrives at home with coffee for Melissa, and Melissa tells her to come in. Her daughter says that Brigid had the wrong girl, and asks about the Roxxon case. Tandy apologizes for ridiculing Melissa about it in the past, and Melissa says that it's about restoring Nathan's reputation as much as the money. Tandy explains that she felt safe when she was with Nathan, and Melissa says that Nathan was the hardest-working person she ever met. She doesn't know why the rig exploded but figures Nathan was a scapegoat for Roxxon. Tandy asks how they can fight back, and Melissa says that they can ask Greg for help. She warns that they need someone like Greg, and insists that the windfall will come eventually. Tandy figures that Greg is another married guy after Melissa, and warns that it never turns out well. Greg arrives with groceries.

-----

Tandy tells Tyrone that Nathan used to say that character is what someone is when no one is watching. She asks for Tyrone's wallet, and he reluctantly hands it over. Tandy analyzes the content and says that he needs to find out who Connors is to get justice. Tyrone says that he can't walk in, and Tandy tells him to be a victim rather than a thug.

Later, Tyrone locks up his bicycle to a fence and then cuts the chain with bolt cutters and takes a photo. He then tosses his bike off a bridge.

Tandy goes into Peter's office and says that she has some questions for him about Roxxon. She says that she wants to help, and Greg explains that Roxxon closed the case on it but kept getting zoning permits and federal grants on the area through a shell corp. He figures that the Roxxon guys are assholes and they're leaving a big paper trail. Tandy suggests that the younger guys might use Instagram and Snapchat, and Greg tells her that it's good for Melissa that she's there.

Tyrone goes into the police station and claims that someone stole his bike. The desk sergeant has a patrolman, Hannigan, write it up. Hannigan ushers Tyrone to his desk, and Tyrone looks around as the patrolman gets a form. After a minute, Tyrone walks out and goes home. Otis finds him in the kitchen, and apologizes for being in a mood earlier. He's noticed that his bolt cutters are missing, and Tyrone claims that he doesn't know what happened to them. Otis checks his bag and finds them, and says that's how it started with Billy. He figures that Tyrone either stole something or broke into somewhere. When Tyrone tells him that it's none of his business, Otis orders his son to come with him.

-----

Tyrone tells Tandy that he can't control his teleporting, and it always brings him to Connors or Tandy. He figures that his darkness power is looking out for him, and asks about Tandy's light powers. Tandy explains that when hope slips away, her powers manifest. They figure that if they had each other's powers, Connors would be dead and Tandy would have teleported away. Tandy suggests that they test their powers by touching.

-----

Otis tells Tyrone not to say anything to anyone unless they talk to him first, and drives him to a suburban house. A dozen men are gathered and they all look at Otis. Otis starts chanting about the Wild Red Hawks parade crew, and Big Chief Roland Duplantier comes out and says that he's one of the Red Hawks, the baddest in all New Orleans. He asks who Otis is, and Otis says that he's Spy Boy Otis and kept his eyes sharp. Roland says that his Spy Boys don’t dress like Otis does, and swings a razor at Otis' throat. Otis doesn't flinch, and says that it's been too long. The two men hug and the other men cheer and greet Otis.

Tandy goes through the paperwork that Greg has gathered, and Tandy asks him how his marriage is working. Greg says that he thought he could rescue his wife, and says that it's all over except the paperwork. He tells Tandy that he and Melissa can talk.

-----

Tandy figures that it's dangerous for her and Tyrone to touch, and wonders how close they can get to each other without triggering their powers. She has him close his eyes and reaches for him, and her hand glows. Tyrone takes her hand, and an energy blat knocks them back. He says that it was nice at first.

-----

Tandy, Melissa, and Greg have takeout supper. Greg's wife calls, but Greg says that it's fine if he doesn't answer it. The phone keeps ringing, and he steps aside to take the call. Greg tells his wife that he's not going to do it anymore, and Melissa tells him that she has a job interview in the morning and is going to bed. Tandy suggests that they take the leftovers to the office so they can work the next day.

Tyrone looks around Roland's house and sees photos of the men in their old neighborhood. Roland comes over and says that Billy was being trained to be the next Spy Boy. He explains that the Spy Boy travels fast ahead of the krewe and runs out looking for trouble so they all know what's coming. Otis then shows Tyrone a beadwork parade regalia and explains that they make a new one every day because they're a new person each year. He explains that people who can control themselves can do the beadwork. Tyrone goes into the room where the regalia from previous years is stored, and finds a black cloak.

-----

Tandy explains that when the dagger came out, it felt like a release. She asks who Tyrone told, and he says that he hasn't told anyone and that he doesn't have a girlfriend. Tyrone isn't sure what to call Evita, but assures Tandy that he hasn't told Evita anything. Tandy tells him that she had a sorta partner and didn't tell him. She admits that she would have told Nathan because he always saw the best version of her, and Tyrone tells her that his parents don't trust him ever since Bill was killed.

-----

Tyrone takes the cloak out to the main room and starts embroidering it. Otis notices and comes over, and tells him to throw it away. Tyrone wants to finish it and march with the Red Hawks, and says that it spoke to him. Otis explains that it belonged to Billy, and Tyrone says that he owes it to Billy to finish it for him and march for him.

Melissa is watching TV when Tandy comes over. Tandy asks about the job interview, and Melissa says that they both know there isn't one. When Tandy says that Greg is the real thing, Melissa tells her that Greg is just like the others and he broke up with him. disgusted, Tandy walks out.

-----

Tandy offers Tyrone some communion wine, and he refuses saying that he's in the church choir. He talks about how they both have survivor's guilt, and admits that he feels guilty. Tandy says that she saw people hand Tyrone checks in her vision and he was drowning in them. She figures that it was a metaphor for his feeling that he doesn't deserve anything good, and that he's atoning for something. Tyrone says that he feels like has to do everything right to make up for two lives. Tandy tells him that she goes the other way: she wishes that she had died rather than Nathan.

-----

Tandy returns home and hears Melissa in the other room, saying that she was scared and stupid. She's on the phone leaving a voice mail asking Greg to call her back, saying that they should give her another goal.

The next morning, Adina comes downstairs and finds Otis telling Tyrone about what his krewe used to do. Tyrone says that he cooked breakfast and they invite Adina to join them.

-----

Tandy says that sometimes life is that bad, and admits that she thinks about killing herself a lot. Tyrone tells her that she has life and opportunities, and insists that her life isn't that bad. Tandy points out that he lives in a good neighborhood in a good house, and snaps at him for having parents who care. Tyrone snaps back at her, saying that he wants to check her privilege, and Tandy tells him that everything she's had, she had to steal. Unimpressed, Tyrone says that the whole country is trying to kill him every day so he can't sit around and contemplate suicide. He tells Tandy to kill herself if she wants to die so bad, and Tandy says that she's walked through his hopes and saw a kid committing suicide by cop. She tells him that he has his own death wish, and Tyrone storms off.

Tandy gets her drugs from her backpack.

Tandy does push-ups in his bedroom, listening to his headphones.
