In the fifth episode of Tough as Nails titled "How Do You Like Them Apples?" it opens on Savage Crew driving to the team challenge, which happens to take place in an apple orchard. Season three winner Lia Mort joins Phil Keoghan in order to help host the challenge. In the team challenge, both Dirty Hands and Savage Crew have to load bushels of apples onto a moving truck. The team that had the most weight of apples would win the challenge. During the challenge, Savage Crew decided to take the bushels of apples that were on the side of Dirty Hands, but the Dirty Hands contestants saw that they were playing dirty and decided to retaliate by taking the bushels of apples from Savage Crew's side. In the end, Savage Crew ended up losing a lot of apples, so Dirty Hands won the team challenge. On the drive back, Savage Crew argued amongst themselves about whether or not they performed their best in the challenge. The next day, it shifted to the individual challenge where the contestants had to plant saplings of apple trees and tie them off. Dustin finished the challenge first, but had made a mistake, so Kenji was able to pull ahead and win the challenge. The bottom two who went into overtime were Cheryl and Marcus. The overtime challenge consisted of making juice out of the apples by using a grinder to grind the apples down into juice. Cheryl was able to fill her jugs up with juice faster, so Marcus was forced to punch out of the individual competition.
