Gilligan fishes a World War II mine out of the lagoon, then accidentally activates its timing device. Gilligan tries to convince the others he has found an active mine and Mr. Howell misunderstands: The millionaire thinks that Gilligan has found a mine of a more lucrative kind, and he claims fifty percent for himself, urging Gilligan to keep the find a secret. Gilligan, not much good at keeping secrets, leads the Skipper and Professor to the explosive devise. Panic ensues when the Professor predicts the mine will destroy the entire island.
