A man is attacked and killed in a dark alley after leaving his hotel, his dying words hinting at a music box. Meanwhile, Tuck's friend, Paul Farrow, fresh from South Africa, asks Tuck to play in a concert. Paul gifts Gloria a music box containing a smuggled $4 million diamond, exploiting his fame as a musician. Franklin Mills, an art patron aware of the diamond, seeks to acquire it through his henchman, Bruno, who targets Gloria's music box. Gloria, fascinated by the box, accidentally breaks it and takes it to an antique dealer for repair, where she discovers the dealer murdered. Adding to the intrigue, Farrow invites Gloria to lunch, sparking jealousy in Tuck.
