When a young Chinese lad disappears in quest of a jade statue stolen from his grandfather, his sister (France Nuyen) asks Anthony Blake, The Magician (Bill Bixby), to find both in the NBC Television Network’s colorcast of “The Illusion of the Lost Dragon’ on “The Magician.” In order to retrieve the priceless jade, young Tom Liu (Frank Michael Liu) invades the fortress mansion of ruthless Chuan (Joseph Wiseman). When Tom fails to return, Dawn Liu (Miss Nuyen) seeks out Blake. The magician learns that the tyrant has a penchant for young girls, who are furnished to him by dating service operator Mrs. Ti (Nobu McCarthy). To learn Chuan’s secrets, Blake sends Dawn to Mrs. Ti while he plots some magic.
