Six years after the unsolved murder of his wife, David Novack, an officer with the Ethernel squad, discovers that the killer, the man with the port-wine stain, is still alive and involved in a new murder case. Against the advice of his superiors, he throws himself into the investigation with the help of Lara, a mysterious Italian policewoman.

Suspended after an operation that turns tragic, David clandestinely continues his hunt for the man with the port-wine stain. Alongside Lara, whose intentions remain ambiguous, he follows the trail of a name: "Wakari".

Attacked by the port-wine stained man after a shootout just as he thinks he's found his wife's transitional object, David continues his quest with Lara to find the mysterious "Wakari." But he is summoned by an inspector from Committee P...

Despite David's betrayal, Lara teams up with him again to find a deceased priest's transitional object. It holds the key to tracking down "Wakari". To do so, they will have to enlist the help of all the priests in a monastery.

While Lara is arrested and interrogated by the Belgian police, David is confronted by his personal life: his family needs him. Torn between truth and personal duty, he teeters on the brink of despair.

The man with the birthmark has once again eluded David and Lara. Lost in the wilderness, alone, he has only one place to take refuge...
