Channel 4 have commissioned a further six series of Taskmaster to air across three years. The recommission also includes New Year and Champion Of Champion specials.
The contestants appearing in the 17th series of Taskmaster have been revealed. Those competing for the ultimate prize are:

In the wake of a ferociously fought battle between Taskmaster titans in the third Champion of Champions special, the line-up for series 17 has been announced.
The omniscient, omnipotent and omnivorous Taskmaster Greg Davies and his stunningly efficient assistant Alex Horne are back on their respective thrones as the BAFTA and National Comedy Award Winning Taskmaster launches at 9pm on Thursday 21st September on Channel 4.
Channel 4 and Avalon, following the continuing success of ratings, renewed 'Taskmaster' for a further six series. Two series per year will roll out until 2026. They also announced the launch of new children-focused entertainment show 'Junior Taskmaster'.
Daisy May Cooper, Johnny Vegas, Katherine Parkinson, Mawaan Rizwan and Richard Herring form the Taskmaster series 10 line up coming this Autumn to Channel 4.
It was announced today that Channel 4 will be the new home of BAFTA and Emmy Award nominated Taskmaster, with a six series deal across three years agreed with Avalon. New episodes will arrive on Channel 4 from late 2020.
Taskmaster's eighth series starts in May and welcomes a new group of candidates placing themselves at the mercy of Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies. They are Iain Stirling, Joe Thomas, Lou Sanders, Paul Sinha & Sian Gibson.
