War on Plastic with Hugh and Anita - Episode Guide

Working with residents of a street in Bristol, Anita quickly identifies supermarkets as the main source of single-use plastics, while Hugh is on the trail of the ubiquitous plastic water bottle.

Anita Rani turns the attentions of the residents of the Bristol street to the bathroom products and takes them to the local sewage works, where they get a very graphic introduction to the problem of wet wipes. Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall examines why so much British plastic waste is ending up rotting on illegal dump sites in Malaysia, presenting his findings to Environment minister Michael Gove, and travels to Plymouth University to learn about the prevalence of microplastics in nature.

In this final episode, Anita looks at single-use toys whilst Hugh reveals the plastics industry's plans to dramatically increase plastic production. 

Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Anita Rani present an update on the campaign against single use plastic, challenging a British family from Berwick to go plastic free on a budget. Hugh discovers what becomes of the packaging for pre-packed sandwiches, and Anita conducts experiments on teabags to discover the secrets of their construction.
