Safe House - Episode Guide

Robert and his wife Katy decided to leave city life behind them after Robert was injured whilst trying to protect a witness in his care as he worked as a policeman. Susan Reynolds was fatally shot and Robert has been finding it hard to deal with the guilt he feels over the death of Susan. Robert and Katy now run a guest house, hidden away in the idyllic Lake District. After DCI Mark Maxwell shows up he suggests that the guest house is perfectly positioned to operate as a safe house. DCI Maxwell finds himself dealing with a family left reeling from a shocking assault and he calls Robert to see if he and Katy will take the family in and keep them safe. The Blackwell family adjust to life in a safe house and the man hunting the family is being investigated by Mark who turns to Robert for help and from within the safe house Robert starts his own investigation into the family.

The Blackwell family have to try and act like ordinary holiday makers, staying at the guest house. Sam Blackwell's car is discovered abandoned and there's growing concern for his safety. The police have discovered a connection between Sam and criminal Michael Collersdale. Robert is determined to discover the truth.

Ali is given some devastating news and Robert has some difficult questions to ask her. Ali comes to an impulsive decision and Robert's methods are questioned. Robert quizzes Mark about a past decision. Michael manages to have a break-through in his hunt for the family and the police think that his arrest will happen soon.

The investigation into Michael Collersdale has an unexpected twist and Robert has some concerning news for David and Ali. Sam and his brother decide to cross the lake and become involved in a shocking ordeal.

When ex-police officer Tom hears news of the abduction of Julie Delaney he leaves his partner Sam and their beautiful coastal home and heads straight to the crime scene.

After a frosty reception from DI Vedder Tom sees DCI Jane Burr and tries to convince her that the Crow, a notorious killer, is back and that John Channing the partner of the missing woman is in danger.

As the search for Julie intensifies, John's erratic behaviour in the safe house soon causes Tom to become intensely suspicious. Meanwhile, Sam has her own misgivings and is left wondering what the real reasons were for Tom leaving the Police force.

Tom makes a key break in the case. Tom links Roger Lane, an estate agent, to a number of locations related to the Crow abductions.

Sam finally finds out the explosive truth about Tom's reasons for leaving the police. Simon and Liam arrive at the safe house, but danger follows them. Tom faces the Crow in a bid to save Sam's life.
