After a series of disappointments, the construction of the new Bioparc space is finally gaining speed. But the death of the snow leopard plunges the team into sadness, especially since part of this expansion was to be dedicated to him. Pierre, the former director, who now devotes himself exclusively to conservation projects, flies to Niger to take stock of the giraffe population and step up the fight against poaching.

One month before reopening to the public, the Bioparc must be given a facelift. But the elements are unleashed and François the director has to face an invasion of birds, followed by a violent storm. An intense cold wave, paralyzing the site of the future extension, also forces the healers to capture the parrots to shelter them.

François, the director, is working hard to ensure that everything is ready for the safety commission, which will authorize or not the opening to the public. Elsewhere in the park, an unexpected birth surprises the whole team and precipitates the departure of a giraffe to another zoo.

The Himalayan Ghosts' inauguration day finally arrives, after months of relentless struggle to be ready on time. But the Bioparc never has a downtime: the animal keepers must take care of their thousand residents and organize the arrival of an extremely rare panther, while the long-awaited birth of the little black rhino is approaching.

A few hours before the opening of the season at the Bioparc, an extreme cold spell, accompanied by heavy snowfall, hit the region.

It is to the rhythm of the animals that the Bioparc lives all year round. Veterinarians are concerned about the health of a very weak giant turaco. It is the hope of a new life, destined to be released into nature. Part of the veterinary team will also work with a female rhino to optimize the well-being of this unique animal.

The season follows its course at the Bioparc but no question of remaining on its achievements. One year after the opening of the space dedicated to the Himalayan fauna, it is time for the Bioparc to look further and imagine an extension of the zoo: a space of 2.5 hectares devoted to lions and cheetahs. And in the valley of the black rhinos, the attention of the healers does not weaken. In both females, disturbing cracks appear on their legs.

The veterinarians have planned an extraordinary intervention: the surgical operation of three giraffes in the enclosure of the Bioparc. A day that everyone is preparing for because performing anesthesia on a giraffe is a potentially risky act where every little gesture is important. This is a first in Europe, so the whole team is coordinating for this marathon day.

While the technical teams are mobilized on the site of the future space dedicated to lions and cheetahs to create the first decorative elements, Pierre, the manager of the Bioparc, leaves for Spain to reintroduce a species that has disappeared from Europe for centuries: l 'bald ibis. After another stoppage of work on the aviary, faults in the rock could destabilize the imposing observation hut located 10 meters high.

While everything seems to be unblocking around the aviary and the observation hut, a monk vulture escapes from the Bioparc shortly before the winter closure.

As the countdown begins, accumulated delays, temperamental weather and team fatigue put the opening of the Carnivore Crater at risk.
