The year is "1974". The Prime Minister announces his resignation, a power struggle ensues, and the government needs a new Minister of Health. There is just one problem.

An explosion on an oil platform makes Gro popular. Reiulf makes a fool of himself, and it's his fault they lose the election. Or did they win? Oh well, it doesn't matter.

The Labour Party packs a train full of journalists and booze and sets off on the municipal election campaign. It goes to hell.

Heads will roll after the municipal election. Reiulf misses the election broadcast because he is genuinely suffering from back pain. Gro has had enough of this.

Odvar is fed up with the leaks. He takes unpopular measures that could have disastrous consequences for Reiulf. Gro heads to Dovre to curry favor with the A-press.

Odvar needs to go on sick leave, but he mustn't tell anyone—certainly not the press. Some guy from Stavanger keeps pestering him about something or other.

Thirteen women arrive in Oslo. Two men are on a hunger strike. The new prime minister thinks it is important that they be heard, but there is a lot going on today.

Reiulf tells Arvid about the plot being hatched against him at the national convention.

Gro tries to bond with the AUF at Utøya, but they are mostly interested in Reiulf. It is hot. No talk of NATO.

Gro has to keep her Conservative colleague at arm's length so he doesn't look like a spy. Another Conservative annoys her on live TV.

Gro and Kåre are getting ready for their final televised debate before the election. A hippopotamus has been spotted between Fossestuvegen and the Rotvoll roundabout.

All power to no one.
