This was all I could take, Drama? I guess this is how millennials see the past. Actually reading history is hard. It's much easier just making it up.
Dock workers and their wives and children worked sunup to sundown. No one could read or write. In this particular case EVERYBODY stank of fish. Their clothes reeked of the smell/ Homes were heated with coal. People didn't bathe regularly.
About as unrealistic a portrayal of Yorkshire in the 1890's as could be. I was laughing aloud as the marital relationships were presented as amicable and equitable. Anyway, I view it as a comedy and a parody brimming with cliches.
