search problem

Not sure what you mean; I typed in The First 48 and received back several different series'. Is there a specific series that isn't showing up or are you searching with only a partial title? I noticed the partial title problem a few days ago.

I agree this looks like a bug,There is a show that is only called "The first 48", and it isn't part of the 10 hits you get when you do a search on the site.

Ahh then yes that sounds like the same bug with trying to find something like House MD, typing House doesn't get you a result, you need to use the whole title.

On this one you're not even getting it with the exact title, so it looks like a sorting bug, mainly not listing exact matches first.

Realistically, it should either have pages, or show all results with a relevance over X amount (or the highest 10 if there's not 10 over the threshold).

That would help prevent more of these types of bugs becoming an issue.

While i completely agree I would still want the exact match listed first, and then maybe the rest sorted by popularity.

I believe I've identified the problem; at least "House" and "The First 48" are showing up normally again. Please let me know here if you see any other search related anomalies!
