Jeeves and Wooster Episode Titles

Oh, dear. So doing some searching around, it appears each episode had one of three possible titles. As an example Series 1 Episode 1 could be titled:
Jeeves Takes Charge (this seems to be the region 1 DVD title used, also from Amazon streaming)
Jeeves Arrival (this is the one we use not sure where it comes from, alt title at IMDb)
In Court After The Boat Race(tv.com title, Google listing, IMDb main title)

I'm thinking the last one is the closest to the official title. Since the series aired on ITV, I can't use the Radio Times archive site to find out which title was the official ITV title used and the ITV official website is not helpful. Does anyone know of another primary source to search to find the original ITV titles?

To add to the confusion the UK dvds seem to have even more different names.

According to this series 1 have 5 episodes titled

1: Jeeves Takes Charge
2: Tuppy and the Terrier
3: The Purity of the Turf
4: The Hunger Strike
5: Brinkley Manor

I'd trust the UK dvds a lot more than tv.com or random titles on imdb, tho.

Right, this is one set of listings for series 1. So the DVDs are titled one way (these are also the titles for region 1) but I don't think those were the original titles.

The wikipedia episode listings use the names from the DVDs, but they also make note of alternative titles with some notes on where they're from.
Without having seen the show I'm not sure what it means.

So the wikipedia info is two different things. They list the alternate titles, no info on where the titles came from. They also list the short stories where elements for the episode were pulled from when writing the TV series. So the first episode *might* have been titled Jeeves Takes Charge simply because there is a short story of the same title, but that doesn't carry through with the rest of the episodes.

For info, there is an archive site for the TV Times, which covers ITV and Channel 4, but it only lists up to 1989, which doesn't really offer any help in this case. It is a useful bookmark to have tho, if you're not aware of it. Link here.
