Either "Medical Advisor" or Medical Consultant" or both needs to be added to the Crew Members pull down menu listing. Since there are a lot of medical related shows, they will list one or the other in their crew credits.
But you can add tons of them like Aviation Consultant, History Consultant, Military consultant. It's too much and I personally think it is not worth adding them.
Couldn't it just be classed as a "Research Consultant"?
Or am I misinterpreting what that role would be?
Thinking about the comments made, I think just adding "Advisor" would be best for certain situations, Consultant is fine for some...With others the general term of "Advisor' would more closely follow the credits of a show without getting into listing different types of advisors, Adding the persons name with MD, DO, Etc. after it would be enough where in non medical terms, consultant would be better. Something I am thinking about in refference to people looking up the crew at times, especially with medical etc. is if there seems to be similarities between different series on the way things are presented relating to facts, someone might wonder...Hmm, I wonder if the same person advised or consulted for those two shows, and they may check to see who the advisor was just out of plain curiosity.
I think "Advisor" is the best choice, and something should be there as advisors are listed in the credits for a program. Off the top of my head I know of series' that list medical, historical, stunts, legal, and scientific advisors in credits.
