Should Tobias Menzies have two cast entries for Outlander? He currently has one listed as "Frank Randall/Jonathan "Black Jack" Randall" and it has two photos associated with it (one for each character) but those are two different characters, not one character going by two names... like how Tom Cavanagh has three cast entries for The Flash since each is a different character, or JiHAE on Mars playing two different people. It's been done with those but I wasn't exactly sure if it's allowed and I didn't want to do it if it shouldn't be done and since this is more of an inquiry than an edit request, I figured I should make a new thread.

http://www.tvmaze.com/faq/14/show-extras provides some clarification here, under the section "Characters".

So depending on the show, creating multiple cast entries can definitely be the proper way to go. I'm not familiar with Outlander though, perhaps someone else can confirm whether it is for this show.

Outlander is about Claire and she travels back in time. In 1945, she's married to a man named Frank Randall, and then when she goes back in time to 1743 where she meets one of his ancestors who looks exactly like him (because they're the same actor) and that's Jonathan "Black Jack" Randall. Some episodes he only appears as Frank and some he only appears as Black Jack Randall, and then in some (mostly when Claire is thinking) he appears as both.

Since they're two distinctive characters, I'd guess it would be allowed. I just wanted to make sure.

That definitely sounds like it should be split into two separate characters, yes. Thanks!
