Queer Eye for the Straight Guy - What makes this show different?

JAGUARDOG wrote 8 years ago: 1

The new season of this show airing on Netflix this year should be a New season of "Queer Eye" which is the shortened title of the same show. It should not be processed any differently then all the other shows that have sprang back up again where a new season was added to them instead of a separate show!

Examples:

X-Files

Prison Break

Twin Peaks

I assume Xena will be like them as well?

States this is a new first season, probably something to do with it been a co-production now and the fact that when it last aired on Bravo it aired as 'Queer Eye' not 'Queer Eye for the Straight Guy'.

The 1st season it was named Queer Eye for the Straight Guy then they shortened it after that. As far as the press release and what it says, so what?

No it wasn't, I watched the show. It was only renamed 'Queer Eye' in later seasons, when the main five hosts didn't always appear and the makeover wasn't always on a 'Straight Guy'.

Official sources are what we follow for everything, the press release states "The eight episode first season will debut globally on Netflix.".

Same as 'Gilmore Girls' and 'Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life'.

We'll discuss a policy on how to handle this topic once and for all. Hang in there!

Those other shows also stated that they were the 1st seasons there is no difference!

I had no idea Queer Eye was coming back. Xena too? Jeez. When is Alien Nation coming back? I've been saving my spoiled milk :)

Xena could be fun. Especial if they get Kevin Sorbo to do a Hercules cameo.

The show is still in the early stages as they are still searching for a new female to play Xena.

New? Hmm. Might lose me there. I know Lucy isn't a spring chicken but it's going to be hard to replace her.

It came back in Australia with some vaguely supernatural stuff attached. :) They called it Cleverman.

No sour milk. A lot of razors, though.

I planned on watching this when it came out and totally forgot. How was it? And thanks for the reminder.

I enjoyed it. There were a lot of plotholes and gaps if you thought about it, but if you took it for just what you were seeing, it was good.
