How about a spoiler function to hide spoilers in the comments section.

The episode of Arrow has a huge spoiler in the comments.

Personally, I'd never even consider reading comments about an episode I've not watched yet, so this isn't an issue for me :)

Yeah i agree. I mean once an episode has aired i don't really think you can expect to go online and read about it without the risk of spoilers, if you don't want that then simply don't read about the episode until you've watched it.

And when you start hiding "spoilers", how far do you take it ? For most procedural type shows one look at the guest list will tell you who the killer of the week is. Does that mean the guest cast should be hidden too ?
