If there are only 8 episodees in season 2 why is there a listing for 11 when clearly there are only 8

You are correct, I deleted the wrong episodes now :)

Actually those episodes are legit. It's just unclear, how do they supposed to fit in the episodes list? The one from yesterday has a weird numbering at the official site, Season 2 Episode 101.
For what it worth it looks like it's a new iteration / spin-off of the show, called "Killing Fields: Investigations". Screenshot

Yes, thats where I looked, the season ended at episode 8 and as I do not watch the show and 101 makes no sense to me I just deleted them from the season 2 list, because there they definitely do not belong :)

"Episode 101" is how Discovery labels specials, meaning "Season 2 Episode 101" is a season 2 special.
And FYI, the other new episodes that were deleted are definitely legit.
They are being streamed by Discovery (and from them through Amazon and iTunes) as part of season 2.
"The Body In Whiskey Bay" released on March 7
The body of a Caucasian 20-something female is found partly submerged on the banks of Whiskey Bay. Major Hebert and Detective Bradford race to the scene, deem it a homicide, and race against the clock to ID the victim and hunt down her killer.
"The Baton Rouge Serial Killer" released on March 14
The sheriff's office returns to Whiskey Bay to conduct a sweep of the waters looking for dead bodies. A known body dumping ground, Whiskey Bay was also reported to be the preferred dumpsite of one of the most infamous serial killers, Derrick Todd Lee.

So the other two new ones are not airing on the channel, but they are streamed?

They are listed in Discovery's schedule, so they are going to air as well.
Checked their site again now, and they've just added "The Body In Whiskey Bay" as "SEASON 2 - EPISODE 101" and "The Baton Rouge Serial Killer" as "SEASON 2 - EPISODE 102", meaning they are both season 2 specials.
