Kennedy

About recently added Kennedy mini-series. Despite that many sources, including Wiki, calling it five-hour miniseries, this archived NY Times article, which announced NBC premiere, calls it a "three-part, seven-hour re-enactment", which was originally aired as 3 episodes (3Hrs + 2Hrs + 2Hrs) during three nights, Nov 20, 21 and 22 of 1983. Apparently later TV and DVD releases was either re-edited or something. I doubt, that there was 2 hours of commercials during 7 hours broadcast :)

Just FYI :)

2 hours of commercials in 7 hours sounds exactly right to me, That's 17-18 minutes per hour.

Even in 1983? OMG :)

Anyway, the original timeslot and episode separation was different from the DVD release.

I did it before. Anyway the show hadn't any episodes. Made this thread because some sources list 5 episodes for this show, TVDb lists 7 episodes.

Maybe creating editor's wiki makes sense? With the link to the article.

Yep, even in 1983 :)

I've just looked at some random older series I have stored and Hill Street Blues were 46mins, Tour of Duty 46mins, Homicide: Life on the Street 46mins. Although, I checked Miami Vice and those are around 49mins. I even checked my Mork and Mindy eps and they run for 25mins while broadcastng for 30mins.

The networks love the commercials
