The Late Late Show with James Corden UK - How can he be in 2 places at once?

the UK episodes will air here first and then be repeated in the USA, rather then been aired in the USA first then airing in the U.K.

Just deleted the Us repeats of the original UK episodes airing this week. Please don't ré-add them to the US show as these are just repeats of the UK episodes, thanks!

Doesn’t this fly in the face of common sense? It’s a US - based show that for 3 episodes only has episodes filmed in the UK. Is this any different than US-based shows that air a day earlier in Canada — but are correctly entered with their US-based listings. I was just thinking of the missing entries if trying to use this show in a media database with splitting off 3 episodes into its own new series (similar to how we split web series off now).

Not when it's been produced separately for the UK and aired in the US, as all the articles in the posts up the top suggest.

OK. I guess I didn’t get that meaning from the articles or others — as it appears that it airs on the same network in the UK that the regular episodes also air on. I guess I don’t see much difference between it and any other chat show that films and airs some special episodes abroad. No worries - just wanted to check if it needed reconsideration as it seemed so odd to treat it this way.

The show doesn’t air on a UK network, you can watch the show on demand and that’s it, not on a TV network. There’s nothing odd about adding a series that airs under a different title, with a different air date.

That’s what I thought too, like how Craig Ferguson went to Paris and Scotland, or how Conan does episodes other places but they were the same show just filmed in other places. It’s not like they’re UK specific episodes that the US/base program doesn’t air, but I guess if it’s been decided that it should have it’s own entry then ok, just feels off to me.

If it is specially produced for the UK it is fine, if it is just an “episode abroad” it should be listed within the normal show.

Just my opinion - but last night’s show had an entire 15 minutes devoted to a segment on packing and flying there - with numerous references by James to the shows in the UK and jokes about CBS finding a way to air them even later. As a regular viewer of the program, I just don’t get how it would be separate as it is mentioned in the continuity of the show itself by the host. No worries if it isn’t changed. I’m not tracking chat shows either for watching or for media database purposes - but I could definitely see how this would throw somebody off who does (especially if leveraging the data for media database).

From what you are saying I have to agree with you (I do not watch the show myself).
I will talk to Tom about this and see if we can work this out :)

It's a UK production airing in the U.K. First then been repeated in the USA. Same as Graham Nortons American Comedy Central show that then aired in the U.K. Afterwards… The shows air airing here first!

Yes, but isn’t this still part of the US show only airing a bit later there, if that is the fact, we would have to follow our policy and add ther airdates to the US show.

Or is this a show of its own produced by the UK and not part of the US produced show?

Let’s talk about this in the chat later, it is easier than here Tom :)

cheers
Juan
