Some stats would be nice

It would be really nice to see somewhere on the site (maybe in the profile) the global database stats. I. e. the total number of the shows/persons, 10 most followed shows/persons (with number of followers), total contributions made today/this week, number of active contributors today/this week, stuff like that.

Is somebody except me curious about this?

This is the secret stats site, it is there for ages, but alot of mystery surrounds it :)

But most followed shows and stuff could be added there too :)

From what I know is that it is already on our to do list to finetune details and make it more visible, however both Jan and David have a huge list to do for TVmaze plus their normal dayjobs, so progression might not be as fast as everyone likes it to be :)

Yeah, I'm aware of this vanity fair :)
I also know that there's currently 28'574 TV Shows on TVmaze :) But it'd be uber-cool, If determining this number would not involve some calculating skills :)

It's not like it's urgent or something :) I know that guys do a tremendous amount of work, and it's good to know that such a feature is already considered.

Yep, we have a list of additional stats we'd like to implement. It will come eventually. :)

I'm assuming you worked it out the same way I do.

Go to Shows, go to the last page, do (Page - 1) * Shows per page + Number on Last page

Something like that, yes :)

And you quickly can get an approximate number from the ID of the last added series :)

Yeah, but that includes deleted shows.

From the first post in the thread, I get the sense it was more like general statistics.
