I cannot believe Grimm has ended, me and my friends love it, can't understand why the ratings were low, I thought it would go on for ever, just couldn't get enough of it. soooooooooooo sad.

But it got a nice and perfect ending, better than another season that would end with a cliffhanger :)
I don't believe it got cancelled because of ratings. By all accounts, it got canceled (or shut down, if you prefer) because it was on six years, it had long since reached the "magic number" of 100 for syndication purposes, the stars and/or staff wanted more money from the production company and network than the latter wanted to pay (salaries go up the longer a show is on the air), the stars and/or staff wanted to move on, and so on.
