So Season 1 is all from 1999, season 2 from 2000 and so on. If you Look at TVDB Season one it starts in August 1999 and ends in December 1999, while TVmaze and its starting in April(because of a pilot special) and ending in August of 2000. Having each season be its own year is the best way to handle this i believe

WWE stuff isnt like traditional TV shows, they are on every single week and their "season premieres" are nothing more than sporadic marketing buzz. If you look at the dates of what they consider "season premiers" we have one in 2004, one in 2006 and then nothing until 2021.This is why I believe for Smackdown, like with Raw, it is best to just group everything by year like was posted in the TVDB link I shared.
