Has there been a discussion about which season The Muppet Show Special Event should be added to? Season 5 ended in 1980, and many of the original cast and crew will have moved on (in both senses of that expression), unable to appear in the Event.

Where else would we place it?

Season 6.
Or consider it a one-off for a new show. Which we shouldn't include here, unless it turns out to be backdoor pilot.

Its announced as a return to the show,  what we have is correct unless they announce more episodes after this.

Of course I was playing devil's advocate :)

My vote is for using a fresh new season number 6, after an hiatus of 45 years.

We have no vote, its a special as announced by the network, the season number in the grand scheme of things is irrelevant.

That was just a figure of speech expressing my preference. Not a call to vote against you 🙄

Please change the name of this show Y: Marshals | TVmaze to just Marshals (the Y is apparently only in the background according to CBS). Sorry for all the trouble! Thanks for your help!

Do you have a press release or something official for this? I'm looking on the CBS press site and everything is still calling it Y: Marshals

Well, I don't have anything officially printed, but when they aired the trailer for the show tonight on CBS during the commercials for Hollywood Squares, I distinctly heard the announcer/narrator call the series Marshals (something about Marshals airing on March 1). The commercial still had the Y logo, but it wasn't included in the title. Hope that helps!

The Better Sister is a limited one season series, it's status should be 'ended': https://www.tvmaze.com/shows/76555/the-better-sister

Proof can be found here: https://www.tvinsider.com/1197858/the-better-sister-season-2-who-killed-jake-cast-premiere-date-trailer/, but also it is literally an adaptation of a standalone novel.

Hamster & Gretel has ended after two seasons, it's status should be 'ended': https://www.tvmaze.com/shows/62476/hamster-gretel

Proof can be found here: https://x.com/ToonHive/status/1911412367910371468, and also the creator said that the only way there could be a third season was if his other show did well, which did not happen.

Not 100% sure regarding this... but should Made by Maddie be deleted entirely?

Essentially, it was a Nickelodeon/Nick Jr. show that was originally scheduled to premiere in September 2020 (see press release here as well), but a controversy emerged over its similarities to the 2019 animated short film Hair Love (Deadline Hollywood article - Variety article), and was basically pulled indefinitely and nothing has come of it since aside from the trademark expiring back in 2021.

There has been no official cancellation of the show, despite what ToonHive's tweet may say. I'd (personally) say to wait a few more months before changing it to 'Ended' if nothing comes of it (maybe 1 year since the last episode was aired on April 13, 2025?)

Also note that the show's page on The Futon Critic says, "on hiatus or fate to be determined" and, "completed airing its second season on 4/13/25; has yet to be renewed for a third season".

I think we'll wait until we see something official from CBS before changing the name. Their last press release for the show (which was the premiere date announcement) still called it Y: Marshals.
