I mean, yes (and no).

If you look at http://www.tvmaze.com/people/18041/logan-crawford's page, he's clearly a recurring reporter character, but BB aren't great at consistency when it comes to "naming" their reporter characters. So, it's actually 3 different actors playing 3 different unnamed reporters, but whoever writes the credits pays little to no attention to recurring co-stars and just slaps a "Reporter" credit on everybody. Does that make sense?

If two different actors playing two different reporters – that's two different characters and they should not be merged. Look at the Characters article in the policy, there are some examples.

I also noticed that the first merge that you asked (reporter robert) is also two different actors (of different race even), so merging them was a mistake. I will split them.

I'm not confused about policy, I understand how it works. (One character, one listing.) (I admit, it's not a very helpful way of crediting actors who are only one episode when it comes to TVM defining unique characters.)

As for "Reporter Robert", http://www.tvmaze.com/people/18025/harry-sutton-jr plays that character in 5 episodes. Are you saying there's another actor (of a different race) identified as playing a reporter named Robert? If so, wouldn't that just be a second reporter named Robert? (I genuinely didn't see that when requesting the merge.) In which case, the Harry Shum Jr. merges would be correct, as he is in the 5 episodes currently listed on his page.

Yes, I understand now. The problem is, that some of the characters already contain more than one actor. So apart from merging they also need separation. I'll try to sort this out.

I mean, obviously I can't see now, because the entry was deleted. And maybe I copied&pasted the wrong thing, but my aim was to merge the characters originally listed on http://www.tvmaze.com/people/18025/harry-sutton-jr & http://www.tvmaze.com/people/18041/logan-crawford's pages, as they were all mixed up/credited multiple ways for the same character. I didn't even see the Gianmarco listing (I don't even recall being anywhere near it), so I'm not sure how that happened. But clearly something has gotten lost in communication.

Annnnnd, I just saw this. Thank you, I appreciate that it's tricky, and I probably didn't articulate it as well as I could have. Honestly though, if they would just credit them as Robert Bob, Reporter Jim, Reporter Steve (etc.) this would be far less problematic. XD

Yeah. There's a real mess in the characters, but I'm totally unfamiliar with the series, so I wouldn't know where to begin :) I did what I could, if you see some other merging opportunities – please, do not hesitate :D

Given the nature of the show's crediting system, I would imagine there's probably a few more. I didn't even intend to get this deep into it today. I'll add the show to my re-watch list and see what I find when I get there. (I'm sure that won't result in any headaches at all.)

Eddie Painter, Lily Painter, and Frances Booth should all be in the main character section. re-Watching the first season, I saw that their actors' names (Luca Villacis, Abigail Pniowsky, Marina Stephenson Kerr) were all listed in the main credits after Shaun Benson.

It probably seemed like a guest star list at first since the three names were credited one atop the other rather than individually, but watching season two, a few of the actors in this season are also credited similarly. It was just easier to tell that they were regulars this time since right after John Caroll Lynch's name appears with an "And" credit, signifying that that the previous names were regulars.

So, I think this should be re-worked.
