when a rerun episode airs again with new content

On September 4th, an episode of I am Frankie aired called I am...Gaines. It was 30 minutes and was the first episode of the series. Nickelodeon called this the first episode.

On September 11th, another episode of I am Frankie aired called I am...in Danger. It was 60 minutes. The first half of this episode was just a rerun of the episode that aired on September 4th. Nickelodeon called this episode the premiere. Usually this show is 30 minutes.

After watching the premiere, I think the episode that aired on September 4th was a sneak peak, not a full episode. The 1-hour premiere was continuous and didn't have any natural place for it to transition from Part 1 to Part 2. (I say this as someone who watched the September 4th episode and watched it suddenly end in an unnatural arbitrary way at the 30 minute mark.) It also didn't have separate or different credits for Part 1 and Part 2.

Also the credits for the September 4th episode were exactly the same as the credits for September 11th even though some actors credited didn't make their first appearance until the September 11th episode.

I'm not sure what the policy is for something like this. I hate when networks do stuff like this. Question is do we list the September 4th episode as episode 1, or do we start with the September 11th episode?

This seems like an oddity, so I would start with September 11th. What does the official episode guide say?

Nickelodeon removed I am...Gaines "Ep 1" from the Nick web site/app when they added I am...in Danger. I am...in Danger is called "Ep 1/2".

I think that originally they planed for this to be two different episodes. I say that based on the fact that the premiere is listed on Nick.com as Ep 1/2 and not just Ep 1. Plus all episodes are 30 minutes except this, this is an hour.

However they only have one name for each of the crew credits (writer, etc) so there doesn't seem to be any distinction as far as that goes.
