All Seasons Display bug

RaveDave wrote 7 years ago: 1

I am having a problem with a show that has more than 10 seasons, if you look at the link http://www.tvmaze.com/shows/23841/empires/episodes you will see seasons 3 to 12 listed in the season bar, if i remember correctly on the previous version of the site, there was a button to see all seasons and everything would display, there is no option visable to me anyway to do this anymore, when i first came upon this show i thought seasons 1 & 2 maybe weren't added to the site and was going to add them to the site but this is not the case when i manually went to the seasons list they are already on the site http://www.tvmaze.com/shows/23841/empires/seasons

As far as i can remember nothing regarding this has changed with the update, just scroll to the bottom of the page to see the link for the full episodelist

At the very bottom of the page, just above "Create new episode" button:

The episode list was truncated because of the large number of episodes. Click here to show them all.

Yep, "The episode list was truncated because of the large number of episodes. Click here to show them all." at the bottom of the page.

Actually it would be good to move this link to the top of the page. The grey bar with the list of the seasons could be a good place for it.

Would also be good if the link to "Specials" were always listed.

That is the way i remember it, but there is nothing above the create button on my computer.

So this looks like it is purely a problem on my system then as this was always displayed until the update, here is what i see on my computer https://i.imgur.com/6Ecm6iJ.png

Can you see it on other browsers/devices?

I'm not having any problems.

I'd also suggest doing Ctrl+F5 in case it's your browser caching the old layout.

That's odd, i've checked in Edge and Chrome and they both display the link

Thanks for you post, once it became evident it was not a site issue but one specific to me, i have since been playing around with the script blockers and ad-blocking software i use, to see if maybe the "show them all link" had been renamed as a new element or was using new scripts from the changeover and was being blocked for some reason and that was infact the case, one of the filters on ublock has taken a dislike to it, its just now a case of finding which filter it is and disabling it.

As a workaround you could manually add "?all=1" to the URL: http://www.tvmaze.com/shows/23841/empires/episodes?all=1 :)

This will tell you what's causing it:

1. Click the uBlock extension
2. Click the third button at the top (Open the logger)
3. Click the refresh button on the logger (for the episodes tab)
4. Find the ones in red that isn't related to ads (probably something like ##.callout)
5. Click on the third column in the row (it will show a magnifying glass on your cursor)

That will show something like:

Static filter x

found in: y

Let us know what x and y are (no, this isn't a Maths lesson ;)

It should look something like this.

Thanks for your post gazza911, i should have been more specific when i said filters, its not one of the pre-loaded filter sets of ublock, its one of the my own filters i set up to block various elements that were slowing me down while working on the site, by process of elimination i uncovered which one it was, it was a filter set up for primary.callout on the create episode page but it is working across the whole site not just that one page, but now that i know what it is, i can turn it on and off when necessary.

Thanks for all your help.

david wrote 7 years ago: 1

Callout and primary are standard classes provided by our CSS framework (foundation). They're used for dozens of different purposes so blocking them would be very dangerous - as you encountered :) Glad that it's solved though, closing this report.
