How do I contact a user?

I don't see anywhere on how to do this? I see their comments but not I way I could contact somebody?

As specified in the User Permissions FAQ, it's only possible for Curating Contributors to send a private message to a user.

You can, however go to that user's Talk page to communicate with them (publicly). You can access this via the 'Talk' link on their profile, i.e https://www.tvmaze.com/users/89534/whiskey3/talk

Sort of off topic so apologies but I can see edit logs. I'm still contributor level so according to that FAQ I shouldn't see them yet. Is it a glitch or has it changed recently?

It's been changed recently. Now every registered user could see edit logs.
