This status should probably not appear halfway through adding images with the batch tool.
Please change the code to make sure this is triggered only after a batch operation is completed, to prevent the data someone just entered from getting lost.

You should still consider fixing this issue.
A bunch of entries from a batch input being just gone might be quite frustrating.
Here it was just one image, so not too bad.

we have markers set, at which we check a users contribution :)
@Juan I think he means if they're using the batch image upload that all of the images they were uploading would not get added.
I think right now if you had 3 edits left before the next contribution level and you batch uploaded 5 images, only 3 would get added.

Exactly this.
Only way I see around this that's not completely confusing is to process the batch and afterwards set the checkpoint.
And to not offer the tool to entry level users, to prevent batch vandalism.
