The Trip (BBC) 2 Shows

Not sure if two different URLs means that they consider it two separate shows.

Check this text "Clips and more from the first series of The Trip.", linking to the first URL you posted. ("first series" is their way of saying "first season").

I agree with david here, BBC itself refers to the first series(season) of The Trip :)

The BBC website offers all series (seasons) of a show under the Episodes button. In this case either show only shows the six episodes for that show.

Check for example New Tricks, click the episodes button and you will see all episodes for 12 series (seasons) http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006t0qx

It's up to you and just a small matter.

PS: I did name the separate seasons, that may help.

Naiming the seasons is in my opinion the perfect solution for it, thanks alot for having this idea :)

And yes, usually BBC behaves like you said, but as they refer to it as the first series makes it a bit weird.
