Maybe I'm wrong, but I doubt that something meaningful could be said about the episode which hasn't aired yet. So my suggestion would be to block/hide the comment section until the actual airdate of the episode.
People post all kinds of things in comments some more useful than others. F.e. the reason why an episode has been postponed.
Voting on comments is possible. So users can voice their opinion of which comments are useful and which are not.

More on that later. ;) Either way my example is not the only thing I can come up with why comments shouldn't be blocked before an episode airs. But as always. If others share a similar opinion we'll look into the feedback given.
We can also vote on pictures now :)
