If/Until NEWS can accept items currently not allowed, I'd like to suggest a new category under Forums ... Streamers (or whatever sounds good). Currently I post items of interest in CHAT but, IMHO, there is enough out there to populate the new group. Given the increasing popularity of streaming, it may attract a new audience or extend the current audience time on the site. I have no evidence, but I assume many of the articles I find interesting enough (to me anyways) to post have originated as press releases which would fit in nicely with expanded NEWS coverage.

I don't think we need to create a particular forum for that as the forum is pretty much held alive by you alone. Chat should be fine till the news section is expanded. Though if usage of our forum is being increased by a lot, it may be worth to take this thread into account :).

Correct me if I'm wrong @SilverSurfer, but are you implying that you'd add more news than the current rate if there was a dedicated place for it?

Or put in other words, are you purposefully refraining from posting some network/web channel news in the forums because of it?

Yes and no. I post what tickles my fancy in CHAT. Not all streaming news tickles my fancy but if NEWS expanded to include such items I would add it when I came across it. Same thing I do now for shows. I see an item of news, even for shows I don't follow or care about, I post it if I have the time. Same applies to people. I add dates of death when I come across them but only people who have meant something more to me get a RIP post in the CHAT section. If NEWS expanded to include people, I'd add all the obits I come across not just ones for people who meant something to me personally.
