TV Maze says on the User Permissions page that when you signup you can’t add tv shows straight away.
How many edits do i have to do before I can add tv shows? And what sort of edits should I make?

For now you can request TV shows to be added, if you are making good contributions (does not matter that much which kind they are), you can become a Trusted User after a while, but this will take some time :)

Just to clarify on Juan's point, there's no set timeframe or contribution amount - we make a judgement call; the more you contribute, the more information we'll have to make that judgement.

I suppose it's this:
Contributor: this is the starter level for every new user with a confirmed email address. A contributor can change most of the data on the site unless that value has been edited too frequently; can create everything besides shows, networks and web channels (so you can create people, episodes, cast, guest cast, etc); but can't delete anything at all.
