Stargate SG-1

Just a little thing, in season 1 of Stargate SG-1 you show 21 episodes.  There were originally 22.

Episode 1 (Children of the Gods) was originally transmitted as two seperate episodes (part 1 and part 2) and is a double episode on the DVD release.
This makes "The Enemy Within" episode 3 not episode 2 and if you carry on the renumbering you will find you have 22 episodes after all, with "Within the Serpent's Grasp" being episode 22.

Hey there, usually that is true, while Children of the Gods are split in two 45min episodes, for some reason they treat them as a single episode. I have all 10 seasons US DVD sets and in season one Children of the Gods is treated as a single episode and they list them on the covers from 1 - 21. I dunno how they originally aired the pilot, maybe like a 120 min single episode.

It's a while ago but, I kinda recall CotG as a 2 hour pilot/premiere that was later cut into 2 episodes. It's not unusual  to see a show have a double length pilot/premiere to try to hook people but when it goes into reruns/syndication they split the episode into 2 single length  episodes.

So, should we treat it as episodes 1 & 2, making the total episodes for the season 22 (like most of the other seasons), and list it as a double episode or two singles (part1 & part 2), making the next episode number three,  or should we just treat it as one episode making the next episode number two?

Which works best?  other sites differ, but all seem to show "The Enemy Within" as episode 3 not episode 2.

I'll leave it to those at a higher pay grade but policy says if it was first aired as a single 2 hour episode it should count as a single episode even if every airing since it has been split.

It's been too long for me to remember for sure if they had a break/credits at the half way point but no such break comes to mind.

Anyone else with info and/or memories, please feel free to chime in. :)
