Are There API End Points For...

Hi TV Maze!

I would like to know:

1.  Are there Public API end points for TV movies, especially for the Hallmark Christmas movies?

2.  If not, do you list the movies in the guide?  Or is there a way to use the API for theses movies or movies in general?

Thank you,

Mary

@MKKay We don't currently track that information to be able to provide it.

As a precursor to a explaining what could be done in the future, I'll say how TV Movies can be listed in two different ways (depending on the show) :

1. It's a series of made-for-TV movies, like Sharknado
2. It's a made-for-TV movie that aired as a part of a standard TV series

Now, for the first variation, it's added in normal seasons, so there's nothing to distinguish it from ordinary shows.

For the second variation, it would get added as a special. We have a pending feature 'Better handling of specials', which in addition to the special types listed there, 'TV Movie' seems like a reasonable suggestion. (Note: Specials in the /shows/:id/episodes endpoint are only returned if you pass specials=1)

Even then, there's no guarantee that the special type would end up getting exposed to the API (although I don't see a reason not to).
