America's National Parks

National Geographic Channel broadcast two new (?) episodes in America's National Parks: "Off the Map - Great Smokey Mountains" at 2100 and "Off the Map - Olympic" at 2200. I found no more "Off the Map" episodes for other National Parks next week in my cable guide. My searches did not reveal anything. Does anyone know if these are actually new episodes for a new season or perhaps Special episodes? Of course, they could be simply the original episodes repackaged slightly and only need a comment. These two titles were used in the opening credit. Hopefully someone can find a press release with more information. Thanks as always.

Hey gazza911, thanks for looking. I watched the original episodes, but don't remember each exactly. But these two "Off the Map" episodes must be the originals of Season 1 with numerous captions of added information about the animals and the parks. I watched enough to guess that makes them "enhanced." Does original deserve a comment about the added information to hopefully keep someone adding them as specials or a new season? Or, is this just too inconclusive? Thanks.

No, we don't normally consider that to be enough as the footage is still the same.

Just forget it or would a comment added to each of "Great Smoky Mountains" and "Olympic" in Season 1 help document National Geographic's efforts?

Something like: "This episode aired again on 7/7/2020 as 'Off the Map - Great Smokey Mountains' at 2100 with added captions of extra information about the park and animals."
