Ratings by .5 Intervals

I love to leave ratings on shows. I feel like as one of the few people who go back and rerate old shows as I rewatch them I sometimes find myself being one of 2 or 3 people leaving a rating for a show and it being greatly effected by my rating. It has been made apparent to me that the difference between 7's, 8's, and 9's are far too great. It would be cool if one were able to give a show a rating by a .1 interval, but since that may be off putting to some a .5 interval seems like a happy medium and will result in more accurate ratings.

Probably the 10 star system is the best compromise TPtB could put in place. It's far better than the simple thumbs up/thumbs down ratings, and gives more room than the 5 star systems. After the 10 stars the best they could do, IMHO, is a percent rating that may be too much for a lot of people who just want to quickly click a rating and move on. The best way to get better ratings is for more people to rate. You vote a show a 10, I vote it a 1 and it shows a rating of 5.5 ... that isn't helpful to anyone ... more people need to vote to get a better overall rating. ymmv
