Dateline NBC aired a 3 part mini series last week and the week before called "The Widower". The official NBC Dateline website has them listed as 3 sequential episodes in their normal series however I see it it is on TVM as a stand alone mini series. Should the season episodes be skipped or can they also be added to the regular season list?

No, the policy does not allow duplicates and each episode should be listed only once. The Widower was announced as "a special three-part true crime miniseries", therefore it is listed as a stand-alone entry.
