Toggle between 'Following' and 'All' Shows in the Calendar

How about an option to toggle between the shows I'm following, and an alternate view displaying ALL currently running shows in the Calendar?

It's good to have a view displaying the shows I'm following, but it'd be useful to see what I might be missing without having to log out.

Ideally, the "Following" option would show only the shows I'm following (obviously!), whereas a new "ALL" option would show all registered shows currently running - with the shows I'm following highlighted.

Great site by the way.

Hi Robfoster,

Thank you for the suggestion. You're right. Having the option to display all or just what you're following can be very useful. We will likely add filters in the future so that users can toggle the view.

We don't have a date but we'll keep it in mind for development.

cheers,

Jan

The reason I didn't create such an option in the first place, is that the calendar format isn't really suitable to show all running shows (from all networks and all countries), because that would include so much episodes that all overview is lost. For that reason, the logged-out view doesn't list all shows, but only the 100 most popular (running) ones.

Perhaps we should add a dropdown instead, giving you a few different options like "Following" / "Popular" / "US Primetime" / "US" / "UK" / ... / "All".

Thanks Jan. Thanks David.

I didn't realise I was just seeing 100 most popular rather than ALL.

The suggestions you make sound great, David. Having that kind of functionality would be superb (and this site is already the best of its kind as far as I can see).

I look forward to any future developments :)

Done! As a logged in user, you can now choose between "most popular shows" (the same view logged-out users get), "my followed shows" (all shows that you follow), or narrow it down to only shows that contain a specific tag. Check it out here!
